Cory’s and Joanie’s story

Cory and Joanie, an adorable set of fraternal twins, were both born profoundly deaf due to Connexin 26 and both received bilateral cochlear implants when they were one year-old.  They attended an oral school, Atlanta Speech School, for preschool, and they are currently mainstreamed at a private school and thriving.  Both of them were enthusiastic to be filmed for this website.  Here is Cory’s and Joanie’s adorable video:
