Giveaway Contest: Spiral Pendant by Lisa

October 31st, 2010 by | Tags: , , | 80 Comments »

Cochlear Implant Online is proud to host its first ever giveaway contest.  Lisa at Lisa’s Pieces, a shop at Etsy.com, is generously offering one of her beautiful spiral pendants to give away.  My mom purchased two of Lisa’s pendants a year ago, one for her and one for my sister.  Both of them proudly wear the spiral pendants on regular basis because the spiral, as we all know, represents the cochlea and miracles of hearing.  It also gives them the opportunity to create awareness about cochlear implants.

Jessica, my sister, wearing the spiral pendant.

Lisa’s pendants have beautiful phrases that suits many of us, cochlear implant users, parents of children with cochlear implants, family members of cochlear implant users, and professionals alike:

  • Life is a journey
  • Dream, believe, achieve
  • Live, Laugh, Love
  • You are my sunshine
  • A teacher affects eternity
  • Make a difference
  • Hope, faith, love

How to enter:

  1. Visit Lisa’s Pieces at http://www.etsy.com/shop/lpjewelry.  Look around and buy something, if you can!
  2. Leave a comment telling which phrase you would pick for your spiral pendant.  Please choose one of the phrases enclosed above.
  3. You can earn an extra entry by tweeting about this contest and make sure you include @CochlearImplant in your tweet.  Please add a comment if you tweeted about the contest.
  4. You can add another entry by blogging about this contest.  Please add a comment if you blogged about this contest.
  5. You can earn an extra entry by posting about this contest on Facebook.  Make sure you put @Cochlear Implant Online in the status and set the post to be seen by everyone.  Please add a comment if you posted on Facbeook.

This contest is for US readers only.  There will be more contests in the coming weeks that will be available to international readers.

The deadline for the contest is Sunday, Nov. 7th at 5PM EST.  The winner will receive a spiral pendant with the phrase of his/her choice enclosed in the comment!

You Are My Sunshine!

November 7, 2010 at 2:31 pm

LOVE these.

I would choose “You are my sunshine” because I used to sing that song to my daughter when she was a baby. When my son Noah was born deaf, one of the (many) things that made me cry was not being able to sing that song to him. Once he got his CI’s, it was the first song I sang to him. :)
