January 27th, 2011 by | Tags: , , | 1 Comment »

AGBell is having their popular LOFT program again this summer for high school students!  Definitely apply if you’re a high school and have hearing loss!  This program will be an opportunity for you to connect with other people with hearing loss and form new, everlasting friendships!

Program Overview

This four-day program is designed for participants to develop skills in individual leadership, teamwork, understanding group dynamics and communication, public speaking, and self advocacy.  The program provides a supportive and structured environment in which participants increase their self confidence and understanding of their own strengths and abilities through activities designed to challenge them to work outside of their comfort zone. Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) is provided during classroom sessions.

LOFT is a great opportunity for high school and college-bound teens interested in a leadership experience away from home with their peers. We will accept 24 teens for LOFT 2011.
