Become a Better Parent-Advocate

September 27th, 2010 by | Tags: , , , | Comments Off

When I attended the AG Bell Convention this past June, I wrote about my experience attending a session on the Association’s Parent Advocacy Training program, and noted that it would soon be available to all online.  Well, it’s HERE!  This past week, AG Bell launched its Parent Advocacy Training program online.  It is available to parents and professionals and will count for 1.5 Continuing Education Units for those professionals who are pursuing or renewing Listening and Spoken Language Specialist certification through the AG Bell Academy.  Once you create a login, you’re on your way to learning the information you need to become the best possible advocate for children with hearing loss.  The program is free of charge and is captioned.  The program’s main page (linked above) also includes links to numerous other resources for parents and professionals navigating the special education maze.

Have you completed the P.A.T. training?  What did you think of it?
