FDA just approved Cochlear™’s Nucleus® 6 Sound Processor

Click here to see the official statement from the FDA.  Cochlear™ Americas has not made an official announcement yet. As soon as the information about purchasing the new Nucleus® 6 Sound Processor becomes available, we’ll post it.  It’s important to note that this sound processor approval is only for CI24RE (Freedom), CI422, and CI500 internal devices. N24 and N22 recipients will not get the upgrade until next year or 2015.

Do notify when new processor comes into our
N22 I have mine since January 6, 2011 look
forward to improvement in understanding and hearing.

Hello Updates i read some where online from April

“The company is working on N22 compatibility, and hopes to submit the update to regulatory agencies by the end of 2014 for approval”
