My wife has the version 6 and has spent many hours telling people about her experience. She was “deaf” for 40 years and now she can hear. Her processor was activated on our oldest son’s 29th birthday. Imagine the emotions of hearing his voice for the first time on that day. Then, she heard our 26 year old son’s voice for the first time, Christmas Day 2013 when he picked us up in the San Francisco AP arriving passenger area. Very possibly the best Christmas gift mom and son have ever given to each other. Thanks to God, Cochlear, Dr. Arriaga and all the wonderful team at West Jefferson Medical Center and LSU Medical.
