Aziza Hydari Tyabji, AURED, Mumbai, India

Aziza has been a godsend in our lives after my daughter’s implants. She is a thorough professional and has all the key ingredients of one!

SLP Aziza Hydari Tyabji

SLP Aziza Hydari Tyabji

She understands the needs of every child right from mapping to speech therapy.  Aziza runs a charitable organisation in Mumbai by name AURED. She has over 20 years experience with hearing impaired children and now with implanted children.  She goes way beyond her call of duty and advises us not just on hearing and speech related matters but on other behavioural issues as well.  She goes out of her way to collect funds from paying clients and others to fund implants for clients who can ill afford it. Her main objective being that every child should be given an opportunity.  I honestly believe that she deserves the award… because she is not doing it for the money but for the love of her profession.

Yvonne Seebens, CIC Rhein-Main, Germany

Yvonne is very intelligent and must be the best specialist that works with CI recipients. She is speech language pathologist and Deputy Director of the CIC Rhein-Main in Germany.

Andrea “Andie” Fischer, South Dakota

We live in a somewhat rural area, and there are no AVT or LSLS professionals in our state. It has been difficult for us to find a SLP with experience in cochlear implants. After two moved out of state, we struggled to find someone with the experience we wanted for our daughter. Then Andie was recommended to us. And what a blessing she is!

From day one, she put 100% of herself into working with our daughter. She has a very long commute to work every day, and she is a busy mom. Yet she always goes that extra mile for the children she works with. She invests herself in their success, and it shows. It shows in the smile on her face and in the progress her “kids” make. (Because it is a small, rural area we have come to know other families she works with, so we see the progress of others as well as our daughter.) We feel very fortunate to have had Andie in our daughter’s life.
