Last October, Cochlear Implant Online presented some details from Sonova presentation slides about Advanced Bionics’ new sound processor to be released this year.  Yesterday, there was a major buzz on social media sites about additional details on Advanced Bionics’ new sound processor.  For those who haven’t seen the latest information, check out a brochure from Advanced Bionics in the UK presenting the new sound processor and features! Click here to download it.

Please note that it has not yet been approved by the FDA in the US.

I don’t understand why you don’t base the primary colors on hair color. My son has dark brown hair and i would imagine that most people have brown hair, yet you don’t have dark brown as a color

Would the external sound processor work with an older internal magnet/electrodes etc.? I’ve had my implant since 2007, the external part it is too big for my ears and it hurts me so a smaller one would be ideal.

Also Craig, there is dark brown and other neutral colours :)

Will the new external sound processor work with an older external magnet/electrodes etc. I’ve had my implant since 2007, it would be great if both were compatible because the one i have (the older, as shown in the picture above) its too big for my ear and it is irritable as it falls off and rather painful at time.

Also, Criag there is a dark brown colour, as well as other neutral ones, i’m just going from the picture above) :)
