A young adult cochlear implant recipient is combining his three passions – baseball, cycling, and hearing loss – to create a profound difference.  Jacob is riding a bike across the country and will be stopping at all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums to fundraise money for those who cannot afford cochlear implants.  Jacob grew up with hearing aids and then received a cochlear implant at the age of 10 years old.  He is a very successful cochlear implant recipient, as he has an associate degree and is working full time in the hearing world.

He is looking for support to fundraise money and increase the awareness of his initiative:

  • Have Jacob Speak to Your Group
  • Join Jacob at a Game
  • Ride with Jacob
  • Buy a T-Shirt or Wristband

All proceeds will go to these following places that will assist patients who cannot afford a cochlear implant:

  • The Gift of Hearing, Massachusetts
  • Johns Hopkins Hospital Foundation, Maryland
  • Mayo Clinic, Minnesota
  • J.W. Pickle Foundation, Tennessee

Jacob’s goal is to raise $1,000,000.  Click here to visit his website for more information.
