The Ultimate College Guide for Students with Hearing Loss

October 19th, 2012 by | Tags: | Comments Off

For those of you who are on Facebook and Twitter are very likely well aware that the Ultimate College Guide for Students with Hearing Loss has been released.  While Elizabeth Boschini, Lesley Miller and I collaboratively created this new online guide for two years, several other people with hearing loss and a college counselor contributed by writing articles.

Many high school students with hearing loss and their parents often face many questions such as Should students with hearing loss be compared to students who hear normally or students with hearing loss?” and “Should I mention my hearing loss in the application?”   Students with hearing loss and their parents also often ask what are the appropriate accommodations for classes and dorms.

This new online guide provides tips for preparing college, searching for colleges, applying for colleges, and the college experiences.

There will be many more articles from various people coming in the next few weeks!
