Two more cochlear implant brands are being developed

April 6th, 2012 by | Tags: | 2 Comments »

The number of cochlear implant brands is growing.  A new cochlear implant brand, known as Nurotron, is being developed in China.  Another cochlear implant brand known as iEnjoy Sound is being developed in South Korea.  Both are not available in the US and Europe at the moment.

This is a very exciting news for me personally because  I am very interested in seeing what new products these two companies will develop that will have other companies follow. For example, we’re already seeing a totally new and different sound processor design from iEnjoy Sound – it’s an all-on-the-head sound processor. I wonder if other companies will follow the suit.

As of now, we have six known cochlear implant brands total in the world.  The more cochlear implant brands exist, the better the competition will be!

I would love to see a future cochlear implant wireless and smaller then a penny and thin like a penny to where people wouldn’t know your deaf. There always a way!

I heard about iEnjoy from South Korea. I can’t wait to see it. Then, my princess does not have to wear them behind her ear and flaps every time she jumps.
